Assaltos e Batidas is a sonic gut-punch that revives the roots of Brazilian rap through gritty beats, incisive samples, and a politically urgent message. FBC positions himself as a chronicler of the favela, weaving in references to Racionais MC’s, Facção Central, BaianaSystem, and even Brazilian cinema, turning the record into a multimedia manifesto — accompanied by a short film. The album is, in his words, “a dirty and beautiful portrait of the Brazil no one wants to see,” both nostalgic and firmly rooted in today’s social realities. With production from Coyote Beatz, Pepito, DJ Cost, and Nathan Morais, it balances lyrical sharpness with cinematic intensity.
