It sounds right, but it doesn’t land . Everything is in place — the textures, the analog warmth, the orchestration. It builds a convincing world, and I can tell it’s intentional down to the smallest detail. But it stays at the same level almost the entire time. The groove locks in early and doesn’t really evolve. The songs feel more like extensions of a mood than structures moving toward something. I keep expecting a lift — a chorus, a shift, a moment that justifies the buildup — and it never quite arrives. Emotionally, it feels distant. Not cold, but controlled. More composed than lived. It’s something I can appreciate while it’s playing, but it doesn’t create that pull to come back. In the end, it feels like a well-crafted atmosphere that never turns into necessity.
