Across 21 tracks, it fuses cumbia, reggaetón, rap, kuduro, salsa, and Afrobeat, creating a vibrant, spontaneous celebration of global sounds. Standouts include the emotive duet “Soledad” blending Mexican guitar with African bass, and “Kuduro,” where Fatoumata Diawara and Moonchild Sanelly trade verses in Bambara and Xhosa. Son Rompe Pera’s “Defiant Ones” adds punk energy, while the Mexican Institute of Sound and Los Pream deliver a spirited reinterpretation of The Smiths’ “Pánico.” Featuring over 30 artists, the album is praised as a "mind-blowing sonic journey"—a testament to improvisation, cultural unity, and Africa Express’s ongoing mission of cross-border musical collaboration.
