Aversio Humanitatis - To Become The Endless Static (2026)

It holds together better than it first seems. There’s more direction here than just chaos — I can follow where it’s trying to go, even if it doesn’t always get there cleanly.

The tension is consistent, and that works in its favor. It gives the album weight, and it never feels trivial or decorative. When it leans into progression, it starts to feel like something is forming, like there’s an underlying structure trying to emerge.

But the problem is that those moments don’t fully resolve. The climaxes are there, but they don’t hit hard enough to define the journey. Instead of clear turning points, I get a continuous pressure with slight variations.

It’s solid, and it shows real intent, but it still feels like it stops just short of becoming something fully shaped.

Pros

Sustained high tension → the album maintains a convincing level of pressure and seriousness throughout
Coherent atmospheric world → immersive, oppressive sound design that feels intentional and unified
Moments of partial escalation → some sections do push forward and hint at real structural movement

Cons

Climaxes don’t fully land → peaks exist but lack the crushing, irreversible payoff you prioritize
Arc remains blurred → progression is present but not clearly articulated across the album
Limited motif retention → riffs and ideas contribute to density more than to structural memory
