Various artists - The Devil Wears Prada 2 (Music From The Motion Picture) (2026)

It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, but nothing more. Everything is polished, cohesive, and fits the fashion world perfectly, but it never turns into an actual album experience.

It just moves from one track to another without building any kind of progression. There’s no sense of escalation or payoff, just a continuous stream of well-produced songs. Some tracks stand out on their own, but they don’t connect to anything bigger.

The problem isn’t quality, it’s structure. It feels assembled rather than directed. Once it ends, there’s no real impression left beyond the general aesthetic.

It works in the background of a film. On its own, it doesn’t justify the runtime.

Pros

Very clean aesthetic cohesion → the fashion/glam world is consistent from start to finish
High-end pop production throughout → everything sounds polished and expensive
A few tracks actually stand out → some moments (especially the originals) break through the blur

Cons

No real standalone album arc → it never feels like it’s building toward anything
Tracks don’t connect structurally → more a sequence of songs than a composed experience
Low tension and stakes → stylish, but emotionally flat overall

Genre: Pop
