I admire the ambition behind this record more than I enjoy listening to it. It has a clear personality and never settles for safe indie rock conventions, constantly blending emo, glitch-pop, indietronica and noise into a restless stream of ideas. That willingness to experiment gives the album an identity that is immediately recognizable.
The problem is that almost every idea disappears as quickly as it arrives. Instead of building tension or allowing melodies to develop, the album keeps chasing the next stylistic twist. I rarely feel the emotional momentum increasing because the music is so busy introducing new sounds that it forgets to let the strongest moments resonate.
The production is imaginative, but it also becomes one of the album's biggest limitations. Layer upon layer of digital effects, abrupt transitions and dense arrangements create excitement at first, yet they gradually flatten the listening experience. Rather than reinforcing the songwriting, the production often distracts from it.
By the end, I appreciate the creativity but remain emotionally detached. The record feels more like an impressive showcase of ideas than a collection of songs that stay with me. I respect its originality and refusal to play by the rules, but the lack of sustained emotional weight and memorable songwriting keeps me from connecting with it on a deeper level.
