Show Me the Body - Alone Together (2026)

Alone Together is tighter and more accessible than much of Show Me the Body’s earlier work, but that clarity also exposes how uneven the songwriting can be. The banjo-heavy hardcore sound remains instantly recognizable, and the best tracks hit with real physical force, especially “Do What’s Right (Happy)” and “No God”.

The problem is that too much of the album relies on attitude, texture and production rather than memorable songs. The cleaner sound removes some of the grime and unpredictability that made the band more compelling in the past, while the spoken-word interludes break the momentum instead of strengthening the concept.

Still interesting, still distinctive, but more solid than essential.

Pros
Immediately recognizable sound
Several genuinely powerful tracks
Strong rhythmic impact

Cons
Songwriting is inconsistent
Cleaner production reduces the danger
Interludes hurt the flow
