Buck Meek - The Mirror (2026)
The Mirror is tasteful, warm and consistently well played, but it rarely feels urgent. Buck Meek’s guitar work is excellent and the production adds enough texture to keep things pleasant, yet most of the songs drift by without leaving much of a mark.
The electronic touches promise a broader palette, but they remain too restrained to genuinely change the character of the record. There are some strong moments, especially “Gasoline” and “Demon,” but too much of The Mirror sits in the same comfortable mid-tempo space.
A competent, occasionally lovely album, but one that feels more refined than inspired.
